Step 7: Attach Flap, Straps & Hardware
- Flap hinge: fold skived leather over top of back panel, glue and stitch or rivet.
- Shoulder straps: cut two strips (40 mm wide), skive ends, fold over D‑rings, rivet, then stitch length as belt.
- Adjusters: slide buckles on straps before securing other end.

- Cut lining fabric using the same body and gusset templates minus seam allowance.
- Sew lining panels by machine or hand, leaving top open.
- Insert lining into assembled shell, glue or stitch along top edge beneath flap.

- Seal edges with edge paint or beeswax.
